Did you know?

  • UCPath communications, dating back to 2020, are on the Location Support site.
  • Historical communications from UCPath can be found on the Location Support site > UCPath Announcements. Select “See All” to view all communications.
  • UCPath has established specific tools to streamline the process of retroactive pay transactions. Utilizing the retro results report and the retro discrepancy form is crucial for addressing payroll discrepancies, ensuring that employees receive accurate compensation when there are adjustments. UCPath Training Redesign – Launching September 1

As previously communicated, UCPath training is being redesigned to better support new users and enhance service to the campus community.

What’s New?

  • Self-Paced Learning – Complete training at your own pace, ensuring you’re well-prepared to provide accurate, timely support to your department and the broader campus community.
  • Competency-Based Quizzes – Reinforce your understanding and build confidence in UCPath processes to deliver reliable service.
  • Centralized Knowledge Base – Access trusted guidance and resources in one place to help you navigate UCPath efficiently and accurately.

What to Know:

  • Re-Training is Strongly Encouraged – Refresh your UCPath knowledge and stay aligned with best practices.
  • Ad Hoc Training Retired – Beginning September 1, all training will be available exclusively through the redesigned, self-paced modules.

We hope that the UCPath Training Redesign will empower UCPath users with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to serve the UCSB community effectively.

Direct Deposit Validation Change

Starting Sunday, August 24, 2025, UCPath will add an extra verification step for direct deposit updates. After answering your usual security questions, you’ll need to confirm one full active bank account number linked to your current direct deposit. From there, you will be able to make a change.

Please note: The system will prevent copying and pasting your bank account number on the direct deposit verification page. The bank account number must be typed in.

Highlights from July: 

  • Employee Portal (Self Service)
    • Updated the Dependent eForm for clarity. 
    • Updated Verification of Employment to accurately reflect the prior calendar year. As a reminder, employment verification for academic and staff employees is provided by The Work Number® or UCPath. For Income Verification information, please see information on the Business & Financial Services website. 
  • ePerformance 
    • Resolved an issue that prevented managers from viewing attachments in performance appraisals.
  • General Ledger
    • Fixed navigation to return users to the fluid navigation panel when canceling a salary cost transfer.
    • Retired the Direct Retro tool.
