RE: UCPath Update: Work Period is Now an Auto-Populated Value

Effective October 8, 2020, when creating and/or updating positions, the Work Period value auto-populates based on the standard work period for the job code used. 

Updates:

  • Position Control
    • The Work Period field is a view-only field that defaults to the standard Work Period assigned to the Job Code listed. The standard Work Period will align with the weekly standard and FTE for the position.
  • Add/Update Position Info. (Position Administration)
    • The Work Period field is an editable field that defaults to the standard Work Period assigned to the Job Code listed. The standard Work Period will align with the weekly standard hours and FTE for the position. Work Period should not be changed from the default value. 

Change Benefit:

This change ensures there is an accurate value in the Work Period field; ensuring this field is correct eliminates errors encountered during payroll and leave accruals processings.
