RE: 2021 UCPath Upgrade Project

Hello UC Santa Barbara Campus Community,

The UCPath Center (UCPC) and the University of California Office of the President recently launched a system-wide UCPath upgrade project. All locations, including UCSB, have been collaborating with UCPC on this important endeavor.

What is the UCPath Upgrade?

The UCPath system has not had an upgrade since 2016 at the start of the implementations across UC locations. While security patches and tax updates are completed, it is important that UCPath be upgraded to the most up to date version. The system-wide upgrade project will bring UCPath current as of the April 2021 release.

This system-wide project is expected to be completed by December 2021. Regular upgrade efforts will be added to the UCPC system-wide roadmap and may occur on an annual basis.

Impact & Support

Both functional and technical resources are engaged in the planning and execution of the UCPath Upgrade Project. As a project team here on campus, we have been working in collaboration with UCOP and the UCPath Center to identify impacts to the UCSB campus environment. Fortunately, the impact to both transactors and the campus community is expected to be low.

While impact is expected to be low, you can expect frequent communications via the UCSB  UCPath website and the launch of a new Technology Insider page. This will be your destination for information and resources around training and business process changes. Click here to view the new Technology Insider page of the UCSB UCPath Website.
