RE: UCPath Updates: Updating Direct Reports & Primary Job (E-024) Migration

Dear UCSB UCPath Campus Community,

Please read the below email carefully as it contains two important updates in UCPath.

Updating Direct Reports

UCPath has determined that recent system performance issues are likely linked to certain HR transactions that update direct report information. These transactions include new hires, position changes, terminations, and PayPath updates.

To address these performance issues, effective today, September 2, UCPath will transition the update of direct reports information to occur during the nightly batch process, rather than immediate online updates.

Impact: Managers will see the direct report information updated the next calendar day after an HR transaction is completed. UCPath will discuss this change with the WFA community of interest group on September 7 to address additional questions or concerns.

Primary Job (E-024) Migration in UCPath.

UCPath will be migrating the new primary job program (E-024) to production on Sunday, September 5, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Impact: During the 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. migration window, location users can continue initiating PayPath and mass PayPath transactions. However, the ability to approve  PayPath and mass PayPath transactions will be prevented.

If a user has access to initiate and approve PayPath transactions, they will not be able to initiate transactions during this time.

A notice will be distributed when the migration is completed and location approvers can continue reviewing and approving  PayPath and mass PayPath transactions.
