RE: UCPath Update: Business Process Change for Concurrent Hires

Effective October 1, 2020, the concurrent hire template transaction process changed:

Instead of initiating a case to obtain missing information on a concurrent hire transaction, the UCPath Center (UCPC) will cancel the transaction and return it for review, correction, and re-submission when the template includes one of these errors:

  • FLSA misalignment
  • Pay frequency misalignment
  • Missing MLA form
  • Missing dual employment form

This change allows UCPath to focus resources on completing template transactions and resolving cases.

Please note: To avoid delays for the UCPC to fulfill Hire Templates, it is crucial that transactors include all required data points and attachments in the initial transaction. Canceled transactions can be cloned to reduce the data entry required to resubmit the transaction, however, the new transaction’s target date to be fulfilled by UCPC is based on the date the new transaction received final campus approvals.
