RE: Ask UCPath Enhancements coming March 11, 2024

Dear UCSB Campus Community,

We are excited to announce the launch of our new Case Submission Form for Ask UCPath, which will be available starting March 11th, 2024. This marks the first of three enhancements aimed at streamlining processes and improving the user experience within the Ask UCPath case submission process. These changes will impact all employees and transactors.

Beginning March 11, the system will automatically determine the topic, category, and subcategory when submitting an inquiry through the Ask UCPath portal. This means that users will no longer enter the topic and category themselves.

Key Features of the New Case Submission Form:

  • Simplify the employee user experience when submitting an inquiry/case through Ask UCPath
  • Reduce duplicate cases by displaying recent open cases before starting the case submission
  • Eliminate the topic and category data entry requirements for employees and transactors
  • Implement a solution that automatically determines the topic, category, and subcategory
  • Route cases to the correct queue
  • Provide users with an accurate service level agreement

Users can expect a training video and updated Job Aid highlighting new features no later than March 11, 2024.

Upcoming Enhancements in 2024:

In addition to the new Case Submission Form, we have two more enhancements planned to further enhance the functionality and usability of Ask UCPath.

Reopening Cases: Targeted to go live in April 2024, users will have the ability to reopen cases directly through the Ask UCPath platform. This enhancement will streamline the process of revisiting and resolving previously closed cases.

Enhancements for Cases Submitted on Behalf of Others: Targeted to go live in July 2024. We are also working on improvements to create automation to the form for cases submitted on behalf of others (SOBO).

We are committed to continuously improving the UCPath system to better serve your needs and facilitate smoother operations across the board. Your feedback and suggestions are invaluable to us as we strive to deliver an exceptional user experience.

NOTE: Ask UCPath will be unavailable on Saturday, March 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm as these changes go live.
